Today, Venezuela has more than 100 political prisoners and many more that have fled the country to avoid arrest. Many of them face charges with no proof or evidence nor have had the benefit of due processes.
WHY IT MATTERS
The Venezuelan government has continued to tighten its control over public space by issuing a resolution authorizing the Armed Forces to maintain “public order” and “social peace” during “public meetings and demonstrations.”
TIME TO ACT
The international community is united in its condemnation of the human rights abuses being perpetrated in Venezuela and they need your support. It's time to stand together in support of democracy activists who have been unjustly imprisoned.
